The easy way to install Windows 10

1. Windows Media Creation Tool

The first and most obvious option for creating Windows 10 installation media is to use the Windows Media Creation Tool. This tool allows you to download both versions Home or Pro From Windows 10, you can choose from 32-bit or 64-bit for both. After making your choices, you can choose to install directly to a USB drive or download a single or Dual Layer ISO file to install on a DVD at a later time.

Download the Windows Media Creation Tool. Once downloaded, launch the tool and select Create installation media for another computer. Windows 10 will download inside the tool, where it will be ready for you to choose which edition, system architecture, and editions to include in your Windows 10 installation media.

Download ISO file for Windows 10 directly from Microsoft

You can download Windows 10 directly from Microsoft without the Windows Media Creation tool. An ISO file for Windows 10 has been available from the Microsoft Tech Bench Upgrade Program for a long time, although this option is no longer available.

However, there is an alternative way to download an ISO file for Windows 10.

Go to Windows ISO 10.
Click on F12 To open developer options.
Click on CTRL + Shift + M Opens the Toggle device toolbar, which appears at the top of the web page. From the dropdown menu, select Responsive , then press F5 to refresh the page.
When the page reloads, select the latest version of Windows 10 from the drop-down list, then confirm the download.

2. Create Windows 10 installation media

If you have downloaded a Windows 10 ISO file for installation later, you will need to create a bootable Windows 10 installation media using the ISO file burning application. You can burn the Windows 10 ISO file to a USB flash drive or DVD. You'll find instructions for both options below.

USB installation media for Windows 10

To create a USB installation media, you will need a USB ISO file burning tool. I will be using Rufus for this tutorial, but there are many options USB Burn ISO File Applications.

Download and install Rufus.
Select the target USB device from the dropdown list, then select the Windows 10 ISO file. Rufus will update the properties and copy options automatically.
Click on Start To burn the Windows 10 ISO file to a USB drive.

The duration of the copying process varies depending on your computer but usually takes about 10-15 minutes.

Windows 10 DVD Installation Media

You do not have to use USB to create your own installation media. Many people prefer the traditional disk approach, and there are many free applications to help you get the job done. For this example, I will be using ImgBurn.

Download and install ImgBurn.
Now, select Write the image file to disk.
In the next window, select the Browse for ISO file icon, which looks like a folder, then browse to and select the Windows 10 ISO file.
Set the destination using the dropdown menu, then set the write speed to MAX.
When you're ready, tap on the Burn ISO icon to the disc to start the burning process.

3. Unattended installation of Windows 10

If you're stressed and don't have enough time, you're on your way to an evening, or you have other tasks to complete while installing Windows 10, you can try unattended installation. Unattended installation as it sounds: You don't have to make any entries during installation. All it takes is a little preparation in advance.

I will be creating a bootable USB for this part of the article.

First, you need to create an Answer File in Autounattend.xml format. The Answer File will be included in the bootable USB and will "answer" questions during the installation of Windows 10.

Create an Answer File

Go to Windows Answer File Generator (WAFG). Enter your Windows 10 product key or use the generic product key provided by WAFG. let you Windows 10 generic product keys Complete setup by entering a unique key after installation.

Now, choose the options that you want to include in the unattended installation. For example, accept the end user license agreement, skip automatic activation, skip license sublicense, setup language, enter computer name and keyboard and input language, whether to use privacy and quick sharing settings, and more.

Select the disk number to install on. If you are not sure of the disc number, type disk management in the Start menu search bar and select Best Match. Make a note of the disk number and the partition number on which you are installing Windows. Use the following image as a reference:

I will install to disk 0. Select Yes for Main Partition Active. Make sure your main partition is formatted as NTFS. Set a name to name the main partition. Make sure the partition master letter matches the partition order, for example, my C partition is equivalent to partition order #2.

Finally, enter your user account information, including your username, whether you want to enable UAC, and whether you want to auto-login for your account. You are all set!

Download and copy the Answer File

Scroll down to the Console box. Download the Autounattend.xml file using the download button at the bottom of the box.
